This month’s Graffham’s Parish News
February 2025’s edition of Graffham Parish News is out now – with a photo on the cover of Graffham Infant School’s new Headteacher Charles Beckerson leading pupils in singing the school’s new song. There’s an interview with him inside – and also with village newcomer Tilly Blyth, the new director of Singleton’s Weald and Downland Museum. There’s news too of proposals for 16 new guests rooms and a new restaurant at The Woodcote (formerly the White Horse), and of a new chairman for Graffham Parish Council, which has decided to ask for the 30mph speed limit covering most of the village to be reduced to 20mph. There’s also all the latest on the suggestion that the council should merge with its East Lavington counterpart and analysis of what the government’s intended restructuring of local government means here. Besides all the regular content, there’s also a four-page pull-out on sports you can play locally. You can read a copy of the magazine online here.
We are thankful to be able to deliver our magazine free of charge each month to all parish residents and online here. If you would like to help us continue to produce this first class village resource, please click on this link.
Our award-winning Graffham Parish News is published monthly by Graffham with Woolavington Parochial Church Council (PCC) and hand-delivered free of charge to every household in Graffham and East Lavington, as part of our church’s service to the community. It has recently been honoured as one of the best parish magazines in the UK by the Association of Church Editors, the organisation for teams producing magazines for parish communities of all denominations throughout the country.
